Today I threw away the dying tulips from my kitchen table, but before I could do that I had to phograph them because they were so beautiful.
Fresh tulips is one thing; so crisp and vibrant. But in that moment when they have passed the fresh stage they look so dramatic!
They go through a metamorphosis and become something else entirely.
To me that's the most interesting part. Of course, I love tulips when they are alive (and kicking?), that's why I buy them in the first place, but there's beauty in the transition too.
Sometimes I think people are too fast to throw away without seeing the beauty in the change.
This is how I see it. This is beauty to me.
