A glimpse into my livingroom.

A few weeks ago I got to roam around in my grandfathers storage room where he keeps all his paintings. He has been working as an artist all of his life so there was a lot to choose from. I took the three paintings you can see in the picture above that show ships at a shipyard, and another one that is hanging on the other side of the wall.
I really love how it turned out. It's a strange thing, me and my grandfather is not the best of friends but I really admire his work and feel a strong connection with his art. I have noticed that my own inspirations are similar to his; both of us is drawn to the rugged and worn, the beauty in the unperfect. So even if we as persons don't get along our creative sides understands eachother perfectly.
A plate filled with small treasures found in nature and thrifted. I've made the plate myself a few years ago.

Glass marbles that I found at a flea market that I'm going to use in my cage jewelry.

  1. I absolutely adore the harmony you created among pieces from different times. The ship in the window cell is like those 3 paintings materialized. I had no idea that you can marry so many different things beautifully through color only. L.O.V.E.!!

  2. Thank you for that lovely comment! So glad you think so. I love to mix things from different times and styles because for me it's impossible to choose only ONE style and go with that. The ship in the window is actually made by my uncle.
